Grandad’s Telling Porky Pies

I have been creating a collection of short poems, mostly regarding preposterous pets. I am hoping these will soon soon go into the illustration phase of my next children’s book.

This has been partly inspired by the 2003 film Big Fish (starring Ewan McGregor and Albert Finney), partly by my childhood fascination with DR Seuss and partly due to my propensity to make up rediculous tales when asked for mundane answers by my grandchildren.

I have been toying with making these poems thematic - as in poems about pets that the grandad once had. Or perhaps I will spread the load of the rhymes across a number of topics. Time will tell which I plump for.
